I need to renew catdrool on Jan. 4th and wondering what to do with it. DA and Facebook make this place seem superfluous.

Keep it like it is?

Get rid of it?

Downscale it? The "top 3 things" is the most useful thread here. Was sort of thinking of making it the only thing you'd see here... but then that's basically Twitter. And I kind of like the Studio. Although it's not often used, there's not really another place like it, unless you can do something like that on DA.

Upscale it? It is possible to do more, like allow for members to create their own blogs and such.

Turn it into something different? Like maybe a store or... IDK, ideas needed.

Selfishly I would say at least keep it like it is. I don't do Twitter, and as for DA... um... my deviation list is still over 800 so that gives you an idea how often I check it/spend time there. Plus this is more personal.

I would very much like to see you get your own store though.

And if it is a $ burden, I might be able to help, but no on the 4th itself... and not if it is a lot...

So yeah, if you don't want to turn it into something else and it will save you a load of money, then I guess ....

But I hope others have better ideas.

It is now Jan. 4th...I like Catdrool how it is, though a bit of a downscale wouldn't hurt much. I know it's not always very active since it's a small group of friends, but that's also what keeps it different from other social networks.

I understand what you mean. I think this place could use a touch up, and somehow make it seem more interactive. The top 3 thread does sound a lot like Twitter, but also allows people to comment on them (which as far as I can tell, Twitter doesn't allow you do comment? )

I think a store would be nice, it would help with financial support and sorta gives Catdrool a sense of self-sustainability. However, there'd have to be some sort of spread of awareness going on to let the world know there is such a place and have people come to the online store and buy stuff.
